I haven't seen 93 anywhere in SoCal. However, when I was in New Jersey I did see Sunoco gas stations with 93 octane..

Anyhow, I've got 8000 miles on the 8 and have been getting ~275 miles per ~13.5g fill for the past ~10 fillups (~2 months). I cycle through 87, 89, and 91 on every trip to the gas station.

I've actually seen more topics about it not mattering what grade you use.

Some stations in Santa Monica offer 93. I live near San Marino and off huntington I've seen some stations offer 93, but you'd be insane to get 93 in Cali, it'll cost like 2.70 a gallon.

nahh... remember John I have to commute so I am doing more constant freeway action plus I try not to shift a lot in heavy traffic. thus slower speeds not as much fun but when i can I push her hard. then I get a beautiful 14-15 mpg!

And the only difference you notice is your wallet is lighter.
