Better than my situation.

I spent $4,300 having Mazdatrix install a brand new zero-mileage Mazda reman'd motor....

And 1,000 miles later, the motor is already blown. Low compression on rear rotor. SUPER gay.

Because the motor is missing some emissions stuff from the previous owner, Mazda Corporate is saying they won't warranty a replacement motor unless I have the dealership re-install all the factory emissions stuff..

Super big pain in the butt....but the service writer @ John Hine Mazda in Mission Valley, Mike, is a fantastic, OUTSTANDING, super super nice guy. He's helping me even source out the exact parts I need.

Once I get this taken care of and the car is running perfectly with another new motor, I'm going to sell her.

Now that she's not turbo'd anymore, there's just no reason to keep her. I already have my RX-7 and Sonata as a money pit. lol :/

So if y'all know anyone who'd be interested in my 8, send em' my way. I'll post her for sale once this debacle is over with and she's running well on the new motor. I wanna make sure the next owner is getting a car with little to no problems.

the San Diego RX 7 guys wants us with 8s to know that we're more than welcome to drop in and hang out at the monthly lunch meets they've been running for years on end in Point Loma.

They started a Meetup Group in August. I joined. I think so far I'm the only 8 owner. Here is the link. Please join. It really helps to know who's who when you show up!

RX-7 Club of San Diego (San Diego, CA) - Meetup

Next one is this Saturday. November 3, start gathering at noon, eat at a lunch place in Liberty Station around 1.

Yep, you guys should come on out! We've had a few 8's show up over the years, 3 to 4 or so. Gonna have to change the posted name to the San Diego RX Club like we've been calling ourselves for years now. Like the SoCal guys did. The focus is primarily rotary engine, not just on the "7".

Maybe see a few more on Saturday? And sign up on the site UrbanO posted.

Quoted for truth. He helped me out on THREE engine replacements from 2008-2011.
