Yeah, i bet with intertops. They are pretty cool and they have some MMA fights as well.. not all... they did have ortiz-courture betting... yeah, boxign is tough.. i won a little over a grand on shane, and lost with fres... its kinda wacked out... that byrd fight was so wacked, i was sitting on my couch, drinking my beer, and when they read the decision, i fell off my couch and spilled it all over the floow.. was so pissed... 250 out the window...

A very cool thread, I must say...
and some cool folks here.
Forum name is pretty obvious, but now that I AM an RX8 own (just today:D ) do I have to change it????
I am an old rotor head as well: '82 and '86 RX7. The '82 was one of the finest cars I ever owned. I hope the '8 is even better. It certainly is faster.
Real name: Kevin
Age: 48
Living Sit.: Married (#2) with two step-kids (13 and 18)
Locale: San Joser, CA (since '95); before that life long Nu Yoorker
Job: General Manager and ****-yst for industry research (tech)
Engineer by nature and training
(I only gamble a little: I know the statistics all too well. When U fly into Vegas look at all the VERY expensive buildings, paid 4 by suckers)
Hobbies: Cars (my other car is a '96 Miata), computer games, music (going to S&G on November 5), and I've sworn off the stock market for now (speaking of sucker bets).
I've been following the '8 since its announcement. I decided on it vs. the G35C based on my heart, not my head

Why you chose your forum username: eh its my aim and personal domain name also.. forget why i picked it.. kinda like syntehtic
AGE: 24
LIVING SITUATION: Single but Looking
LOCATION: Poway (San Diego)
JOB: Internet Application Developer / Sys Admin for small local WebDev
HOBBIES: Cars and friends.. thats about all I do
Anything else about you: I have always loved cars and usually end up modifying them, my previous cars have all had mods and even tho I keep telling myself I should keep the 8 stock im sure a few bolt ons will make their way onto the car..
My civic went from daily driver to fun car, then I got my Z which is still one of my favorite cars to this day, it was my new daily driver until I got a bit happy with the gas pedal in the rain and spun it and hit a tree.. After that I got a DSM because a lot of my friends had them and it was supposed to be a "street" car but is quickly turning to a pure race car.. so it was back to the Civic as daily and then one day while eating lunch with some friends I decided "I want a new car today" (something i have been considering for about a year since the 350z came out) and well.. went to John Hine and a few hours later drove off in my new 8![Wink](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)

Why you chose forum user name: ...I use to volunteer my time as a high school teacher at a Christian Co-op school over the past 5 years. My kids, nephews, and nieces, etc, went to the school. I'm not credentialed but I just LOVE science. I'm the kind of person that gets really excited, explaining quantum spectroscopy to someone who has never understood it. I volunteered over the years to teach HS Chemistry, Physics, Algebra I and II, Biology, and junior high General Science. I consider getting a chance to teach young people, is a privilege. The forum user name comes from my continual interest in the world or science. ....At the time, I found the RX-8 forum (I think in June), I was reading Scientific American magazine and they had an article on new quantum theory of subatomic particles. I felt the name helped express some of my other interests. The avatar is a display of the understanding of those principles.
AGE: 47 - but feel like I'm 18 in my heart and mind.
LIVING SITUATION: Happily married with three children: girl-boy-girl; 14(going on 21), 12, and 9.
LOCATION: Atascadero, California (110 miles north of Santa Barbara, inland from the coast ~12 miles).
JOB: I've been a dentist for almost 20 years now. My wife is also a dentist (that's how I could donate all that teaching time mentioned, and still 'live'). The atmosphere of how we are raising our children is very important to us. The Co-op was great for this. In college I majored in Mathematics, receiving my BS degree. Over the past several years I've been getting into Gnathology: the study of the bite and how it relates to temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction. I meet with a group of dentists once a month, in Marina Del Rey, and we bring our teeth models and articulators to discuss how to correct people's problems via adjustment or reconstruction - as conservatively can be done as possible. I could go on, but I can't diagnose over the forum....haha!).
HOBBIES: Astronomy; Science in general; figuring out how to make a radar emitter to 'scream' back a corrected frequency (same signal but now compressed or stretched) telling the radar gun the speed I want it to 'read', while I slow down; Creating a radar absorbing bra for the RX-8 (I have the Trussville bra, now I'm looking for the correct material so I can either have my wife or sister-in-law, who are both great seamstresses, sew it up for me); Hobie cat sailing; digital photography; and computer publishing. ...and of course, my RX-8. It is a masterpiece of technology - the sum of it's parts and how they work together, interacting with the driver. New levels of driving for us owners - anyone else wouldn't understand unless they drove one.
Anything else about you: Life is good-and short, make the best of it, every day; Most stress in our lives is self-induced, because we want to take on that responsibility. Because of that, make sure to tell those around you, that are important to you, that you love them, on a regular basis. (lecture over)
....and my RX-8 is way nicer than my beater car, 4-door, 1990 Geo Metro, 3-speed automatic, 1 liter, funky fender......blah blah blah....
:p :p :p

Why you chose your forum username: It's the genus of a type of colorful tropical parrot (a conure, to be exact). It has nothing to do with an "A-Rating", nor does it mean "A Rat in Georgia"... but I really liked those guesses.
AGE: 44
LIVING SITUATION: Single but spoken for; living in a condo with one boyfriend, two Shiba Inu, a parrot, and some fish.
LOCATION: Diamond Bar CA (LA Co.)
JOB: High School Chemistry Teacher (AP, IB, Honors)
HOBBIES: Cars, SCUBA diving (PADI Divemaster and diver trainer for the Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific), travel, Shiba Inu, Arabian horses, Macintosh 'puters
Anything else about you: I need a bigger garage! I've already got the Miata and the RX-8 squeezed into a 1-1/2 car space... so where the heck am I supposed to put the MINI and the Elise when I get them?

Why you chose your forum username: Just sounded fun. No better reason.
Age: 39 but don't act it at all -- ask my kids.
Living Situation: Married, 2 boys (8 and 11).
Location: Yucaipa, CA.
Job: Account Manager.
Hobbies: Cars -- I own a Citroen so you know I'm sick. Soccer, music, buying crap off e-bay, and making things work (again).
Anything else about you: I wish I had time to sit around and do nothing. I figured that I have 5% of my time available to goof off.

Cabazon -- SoCal.
Sunnyvale -- a nice expensive place to live.
Cabazon -- great if you like Indian gaming and sand.
I could go on and on with this one. I'll spare you.
BTW, I live about 30 miles from Cabazon at the base of the mountains. A good friend of mine lives in Cabazon and has about 10 Citroens (my other car).
