Or you can try
www.aterrifictint.com
That's where I got my car done... there is a pic of a bunch of cars this place has tinted for, and it's guaranteed work. Go to the portfolio section and you can see my 8. Funny dog.

Thanks for all your answers,
I'lll call Raul and aterrifictin.com for some quotes.
What % are you guys using ?
Did you guys get ceramic or metal ?
I though metal could interfere with the radio.

hey im getting my car tinted this weekend too, but my dad is insisting, well plain out telling me not to get the front windows tinted. I think i should since my car is black, but my dad is telling me imma get a ticket and theyre gonna pull me over for having my front windows tinted? i thought they had to have another reason to pull you over and then give u a tint window ticket.
They can pull you over for seeing that you have your windows tinted? can't i just roll down my windows right as soon as they pull me over?

Tell your dad he's right... you will get a fix it ticket for the front tint in Cerritos at least. Because those guys have nothing better to do. BUT, it's only when you speed that they write up that silly fix it junk. If you ever driven a semi-fixed up rice rocket here in Cerritos, you'll know that they WILL write you up for the smallest infractions. In Irvine they don't give a crap... they worry about the real crimes, like theft, hit and run, uhmmm... driving a really fast sports car..etc.
Even if you roll down your window, they can tell you to roll it back up while they are writing you that speeding ticket. That's how I got my lame 38 in a 25 school zone at 11am across from CHS. Luckily I have a friend in the Sheriffs dept. that signs my fix it's off... can't do anything about that speeding because it's different county.. oh wells.

Ya, I got that same ticket.. No front license plate. I wonder why the police never gives one to a Corvette... they almost never have front plates. Maybe 'American' cars are excluded.
The guy even tried to measure how low my car is... (My car is pretty much stock)... funny guy.

I got Huber-Optic Ceramic from a company called WinTech. They're mobile and will come to you. Did the rear, sides and quarters for $4 notes. I got 30% this is the darkest ceramic they carry. I so liked the way it came out and the heat reduction that I had them put 60%, the lightest, on the front windshield of the suburban. Lotsa glass on that car and trips across the desert can get real hot. On a trip to Havasu last weekend on the 40 to Needles, albeit away from the sun, it was 92^ at about 3:30 and I turned the AC off.

If you get pulled over for something else other than windows tint like speeding and your windows are DOWN. They legally cannot ask you to roll them up to see if they are tinted as long as when he saw you they werent up. This happened to my brother he asked my brother to roll up his windows and he said "no because you pulled me over for speeding and legally you can't ask" and the cop was like yea "you're right".....anyways

I just got my car tinted today by RAUL the guy that MikeB suggested above. Raul was an awesome guy and I'd recommend him to anyone. He charged me 195. I think it was a little steep but i don't mind. It was a completely custom job. He cut it right in front of my eyes. He let me watch and let me ask all the questions i wanted. He offers lifetime warranty on these tints and if i get a fix it ticket and need to remove my front tints he said he'd remove it for free. I recommend him neday and the car looks awesome!

that looks great!
Yeah, $195 seems a bit more than other places, I think $150 is the going rate.
Nonetheless, it is a one time thing so $45 more is not a big deal and if he guarantees the work it is worth it.
I think I'll call him next weekend.

What I would like to know is: How in the hell can you see to back up at night with 5% tinting on the rear. Sure, you can use your side view mirrors but, what about the area directly behind you? Mine is 20% rear window and I find it hard to see behind me. I just did the sunroof in 5% to keep out the heat. The front two windows I had done in 35% and that is very adequate. As far as the windshield...that is absolutely crazy. (The preceding was merely an observation and opinion of this member. It was not intended to provoke any flame war nor to critisize those whom it was referring to.)
