XEDE beta tester needed in SF Bay
Hi guys,
We would like to release our XEDE system for the RX-8. But we need a local beta tester to try it out and provide us with feedback. For those who don't know, the XEDE is a plug-in interceptor-type programmable engine managment computer. It has sucessfully been used in well over a thousand EVO and Subaru applications. It is capable of controlling fuel (both closed and open-loop fueling), spark timing, boost (if applicable), aux outputs, water sprays, etc,. with respect to RPM, MAF, TPS, Knock signal, wideband AFR, etc,. Unlike other piggybacks, it is also capable of generating its own absolute outputs (like a stand alone) while still referencing off of whatever factory sensors you want to use/keep. What we are looking for is an RX8 that is either stock or mildly modified. No turbo'd cars just yet please. That the next step. In exchange for a couple of days of testing your car, the owner will get a nice dinner at Hooters, free dyno tuning and a discount off the price of the XEDE. If it doesn't make any worthwhile power gains, we'll take it back at no charge and immediately drive to Hooters for us drown our collective sorrows in hot wings and beer.
