For sale is a 2004 Mazda RX-8 in Titanium Gray Metallic over a black leather interior. This RX-8 is a low-mileage example with no accidents and a clean California title showing only 49,729 miles on the original chassis and engine.
This Mazda RX-8 is equipped with the Grand Touring package, adding the following (fully-functioning) equipment to the already-extensive list of features offered with the 2004 RX-8:
Dynamic Stability Control

Faux Leather Side Door Trim Material

This Mazda RX-8 was purchased new from the dealer by my neighbor’s daughter, and was gifted to my neighbor in 2009. It has been a Bay Area car its entire life and was serviced at local Mazda dealerships. The car is bone stock and has never been modified. I purchased the RX-8 from my neighbor in January as a “weekend car”. Due to COVID-19, I have put less than 300 miles on it.
This vehicle is in excellent condition, particularly the interior which is immaculate. There are only a few minor flaws commensurate with age documented in the photos and below:
The front brake pads are worn and need to be replaced.
The paint shows rock chips and other imperfections and in some places, the previous owner touched up the paint.
There is a paint scuff underneath the rear passenger taillight and a small crack in the plastic bumper there. My neighbor (the previous owner) tells me the vehicle was rubbed by someone pulling out of a parking space.
As with most RX-8’s, the engine coolant reservoir light will come on when driving on an incline or accelerating vigorously, even if the coolant is topped up.
The engine was recently compression-tested by Rick’s Rotary/Rick’s Performance in Pleasanton, the preferred shop of Bay Area rotary engine enthusiasts. Testing showed compression well within Mazda’s specifications. The car starts easily, cold or warm:
Carfax shows no accidents and I have a clean California in hand. The car most recently passed smog in February.
Contactless viewing can be arranged. Payment will be accepted in cash (transacted in-person at my bank) or cashier’s check (issued in-person at your bank) only, no exceptions.
