Announcement of the third annual Las Vegas "What Happens In Las Vegas" Meet. This event is open to all rotary vehicles
Date of the meet: June 18th and 19th, 2010
7:00PM Friday evening gathering: a general meet at the In & Out Burgers on West Sahara parking lot on West Sahara for introductions, freebies and offerings.If freebies are available, they will only be available as one to each car registered on this forum posting.
Friday evening party: When we leave the In & Out Burger, we will caravan to Las Vegas Mini Gran Prix (outdoor track). The cost is $19.95 and includes two slices of pizza a pitcher of soda for every 4 people and 90 minutes yup 1 and 1/2 hours of track time!! Also, there will be a no host bar (across the street from the kart track) at Boomerangs restaurant bar.
9:00AM Saturday drive meet point: In & Out Burgers on West Sahara with the first cars out at 10:00am We will meet at the In & Out Burger parking lot on West Sahara for a drive in the Las Vegas area. The drive is about two and one half hours in length, will cover 125 miles and will end at the Fiesta Hotel & Casino on Rancho Road for lunch. The top floor of the parking garage will be set aside for our parking use and is supposed to be roped off and have a guard. After lunch we will have a raffle for several items donated by vendors. There will be a several hour break for rest, recreation and sight seeing. The party group (all that wish to attend) will meet at the Hoffbrauhaus for beer, food and friendship from 7pm until ?
7:00PM Saturday evening party: Hoffbrauhaus , Las Vegas, 7:00pm (no host) (be advised that parking is terrible at this corner) This is just a get together place, some may want to sight see or go to a show. Feel free to do as you wish. It's Vegas Baby!!!!
This years drive will be close in to Las Vegas and will be on all paved roads (unless the state or county do their thing again this year), some narrow roads and some twisty roads and some freeway. There will be vehicles within the group to offer assistance if you are in need.
The weather will again this year be very warm but not blazing hot (yet). Be sure you carry drinking water, a hat, vehicle water and oil. All places that we get together will be at places that have food so those that are still under drinking age will be welcome.

The beer mugs are complete and ready. A final printing pic of the Ts is some where else with in this post. In short the T have a printing of the advertising pic and the mugs will have a print of a design made up by the designer of the main pic. I will post pics of them soon. The sets will be in limited amount of 70 sets and available on the Friday evening meet. There will be extra T shirts available beyond the first set limitation

In addition some specialty vendors have donated some items for a raffle NGK donated some spark plugs for the 7s and 8s, Maguires is donating some car care products to be bundled for a raffle try, Black Halo Racing has donated a $250.00 gift certificate, there will be a limited few of the art work posters in the raffle, Pettit Racing has donated several items for both the 7s and the 8s. We are still in negotiations with several other vendors for some additional raffle items.

OK, I finally booked my room....
We are staying at my brother's house in Henderson (and saving a few hundred bucks).
I will be bringing at least a half-dozen sets of unpainted eyelids for sale during the meet, if anyone is interested, and maybe a painted set or two if I have time to get it done before then.

For those that are interested, long range weather says that the high will be 100 on the 18th & 19th and the lows about 75. Pay no attention to todays temp as it is very unusual for this time of year.
All those coming from Arizona should bring a jacket
I do want to point out that it will also be very dry along with the heat.........be sure and pack drinking water and be sure and drink it.......dehydration is not something you want to experience, even a mild case.

Right now I can only match SS, BB, and TiGr. VR is a 2-stage paint and the cost is prohibitive for a single set of eyelids. 3-stage paints are even more money.
Some people have claimed to be able to match some of the multi-stage paints with a single-stage, but I haven't seen a decent match done that way, yet.
You could probably have them painted VR locally for a lot less than I'd charge you.
