Announcement of the third annual Las Vegas "What Happens In Las Vegas" Meet. This event is open to all rotary vehicles
Date of the meet: June 18th and 19th, 2010
7:00PM Friday evening gathering: a general meet at the In & Out Burgers on West Sahara parking lot on West Sahara for introductions, freebies and offerings.If freebies are available, they will only be available as one to each car registered on this forum posting.
Friday evening party: When we leave the In & Out Burger, we will caravan to Las Vegas Mini Gran Prix (outdoor track). The cost is $19.95 and includes two slices of pizza a pitcher of soda for every 4 people and 90 minutes yup 1 and 1/2 hours of track time!! Also, there will be a no host bar (across the street from the kart track) at Boomerangs restaurant bar.
9:00AM Saturday drive meet point: In & Out Burgers on West Sahara with the first cars out at 10:00am We will meet at the In & Out Burger parking lot on West Sahara for a drive in the Las Vegas area. The drive is about two and one half hours in length, will cover 125 miles and will end at the Fiesta Hotel & Casino on Rancho Road for lunch. The top floor of the parking garage will be set aside for our parking use and is supposed to be roped off and have a guard. After lunch we will have a raffle for several items donated by vendors. There will be a several hour break for rest, recreation and sight seeing. The party group (all that wish to attend) will meet at the Hofbrauhaus for beer, food and friendship from 7pm until ?
7:00PM Saturday evening party: Hofbrauhaus , Las Vegas, 7:00pm (no host) (be advised that parking is terrible at this corner) This is just a get together place, some may want to sight see or go to a show. Feel free to do as you wish. It's Vegas Baby!!!!
This years drive will be close in to Las Vegas and will be on all paved roads (unless the state or county do their thing again this year), some narrow roads and some twisty roads and some freeway. There will be vehicles within the group to offer assistance if you are in need.
The weather will again this year be very warm but not blazing hot (yet). Be sure you carry drinking water, a hat, vehicle water and oil. All places that we get together will be at places that have food so those that are still under drinking age will be welcome.

NOTICE: If you are listed on the attendees list, please post if you will have a passenger for the event or if two of the listed attendees intend to drive together. We are now up over the 70s in attendees with copilots and would like to figure the actual count of vehicles and peeps.
Raffle tickets will be available Friday evening, Saturday morning and Saturday lunch up until the time of the drawing.
Vegas 8's and Sin City Rotary will be offering a T shirt/beer mug combination remembrance for sale at the meet. Try and save $20.00 to purchase one of the remembrance combinations. The beer mugs are complete and ready. A final printing pic of the Ts is some where else with in this post. In short the T have a printing of the advertising pic and the mugs will have a print of a design made up by the designer of the main pic. I will post pics of them soon. The sets will be in limited amount of 70 sets and available on the Friday evening meet. There will be extra T shirts available beyond the first set limitation
To insure proper sizing available for each of you, a note stating your T shirts size would be nice.
In addition some specialty vendors have donated some items for a raffle NGK donated some spark plugs for the 7s and 8s, Maguires is donating some car care products to be bundled for a raffle try, Pep Boys has donated some various car care products, Black Halo Racing has donated a $250.00 gift certificate, there will be a limited few of the art work posters in the raffle, Pettit Racing has donated several items for both the 7s and the 8s. We are still in negotiations with several other vendors for some additional raffle items.

All the final toppings are going on the meet.....doing a final go over this weekend to see if fate has dealt me a bad hand.....

Nope... not familiar with coding vernacular or jargon. Nor did I ever get the memo that capitals were "strongly disapproved" yet spelling errors are egregious enough to merit instant corrected posts. Good thing you are only Phil's spell check. Otherwise I fear your time spent editing the interwebs would inhibit your ability to sustain yourself professionally.

To all of the attendees:
1. Please check in at the In & Out starting spot to receive your badge. On Friday evening we will be at the start until 9pm and then will be available at the cart track or the watering hole for a short while. If you are unable to meet with us Friday evening, please check in Saturday morning to receive your badge. All questions about the Karting should be addressed or PMed to 13X as he did the negations for this venue.
2. Saturday morning will be very busy and your cooperation would make it easier:
a) Check in if you have not yet done so. Wear your badge so all can see it.
b) Come to the start on time as there are quite a few cars and late arrivals may have problems.
c) Top off your gas tank, while not a really long trip there are a lack of facilities.
d) Be sure your rotary is ready...check oil and water. There will be at least one chase/emergency vehicle on the drive that will try to offer assistance to any that are having a problem.
e) Be sure your carrying drinking water and sun protection for your bod. Long range weather says it will only be 100 degrees F but the humidity will be single digit. Please be prepared.
3. Saturday evening should be relaxed and fun filled....I have a reservation for us at the hofbrauhaus at 7:00 pm. Please be prompt. Their menu is primarily German food but does carry typical American fare and prices are acceptable. The beer is plentiful. Typical German type music is played. Jedi 54 set a record last year with beer, paddling and partying. Mazda Maniac seems to have set a record for shots consumed and all others had a good time.
