Does this intake have a top on it or does it suck in hot engine air? I like the size of the filter though.

No top, because its not a box. Its similar to the K&N Typhoon kit, where the intake goes through a metal shield.

Okay I was just wondering if the pic was missing something. Also, is that filter cleanable? If not, how much are replacements?

Yes, the filter is designed to be cleaned and re-used.

At Takeda the said they believe it was an auto car, so that would explain the numbers. However, its more important to compare the difference between the two runs for the amount gained with the addition of the intake. Rather than comparing the overall horsepower/torque numbers produced by themselves. Also, remember that the numbers posted depend on a lot of other factors like temp, location, and the type of dyno used.

just wonder what the different between Takeda Intake and K&N Typhoon ver 1 intake? if i recall the Typhoon got complaint from users..
