During the original engine disassembly and removal, you want to make sure you retain the phonic/trigger wheel from the original engine and the magnetic induction coil pickup used to sense the wheel rotation. This information is used by the car to manage many engine and display operations. By retaining and installing these, all of the display information and fuel management controlled by the car computers work properly.
